Hello, I've got a fiberglass Cobra R style front bumper for my 95 GT, love the look of the whole Cobra R body kit I bought the car with. However, the front bumper has never fit right. The plastic headlight tray barely holds it up along with a metal bar the previous owner ran from the bottom of the radiator support to just behind the chin of the bumper. The worst part is by the quarter panels though. The fiberglass is too thick and just doesn't fit in those metal brackets on either side. Between the poor fit and the weight, the corners of the bumper are always pulling themselves up, which not only looks awful but it drops the chin of the bumper even further down. So, I imagine at least a few of you have dealt with fiberglass bumpers like this and know a good way or two the get it mounted better. Thoughts? Every time it rides up it scratches my quarter panel paint just a little more.
