Usually its a restart after shutdown that causes the problem. The method that you said you tried sounds familiar to me but I thought you had to leave it in run for like a half an hour and the light would stop blinking. Then leave it in off for about 15 minutes, then try and start it.That worked for me when my 2001 malibu gave me pats issues. Have you tried a different key? Sometimes a key will get worn and the pats system will not recognize it as the right key even though it works the ignition still.</p></blockquote><p></p>
