It shifts into every gear smoothly, and it has always had royal purple synchromesh in it. The only problem is you will want to upgrade the shifter as the rubber on the old one is busted and pushes on the shifter when in third gear causing it to come out of third sometimes unless you keep your hand on the shifter.
