[QUOTE="1996mustangGT, post: 681526, member: 8710"] Hey guys question. Alsmost finished up installing my Walbro 255lph intank pump. However i hit a snag. The install kit has the harness to connect to the 225 pump, however it has an odd connecotor on the end. Now my question is can i just cut the connector's into the harness attatched to the 255 pump? the connector on the fuel hat just has a red (power) and a black (ground) however they are female fittings to fit to the stock pump. So can I cut the 255's new harness and attatch male ends to fit to the stock fuel hat harness? Both he fuel pump and fuel hat only have a red and black wire.... The only issues (and reason I havent done what i wrote above) is im not sure if its a stupid idea to make eletrical connections inside my gas tank. Before anyone post any smarta** comments, remember that the red and black wires on the stock fuel hat attatch to the stock fuel pump sumbmerged in gas...so thats why im guessing it wont hurt anything just to splice into the new walbro harness If no one can visulalize what im saying ill take pics when i get back home tonight..but any help would be appreciated.
