The easiest way to get the steering shaft out of the way is to remove the clamp bolt from the shaft to the rack and use a pry bar to pry the shaft straight up and off the rack.then as for supporting the engine. You will need an engine support  to span the inner fenders. I nought one at harbor freight for like $80 I think.  This way the engine can be supported if you drop the K member.  If you are just doing motor mounts. You can probably just lift up one side of the motor. Replace the mount.  If you do the K member change to a tubular setup. It is the perfect time for long tube headers.</p></blockquote><p></p>
