Post these combos because mild 331/347 combos are around 350-370rwhp. So how is a 306cid untouched GT40 heads and GT40 intake going to make that power on a 306? Here are some good examples all taken from one website... This is a 306 with AFR heads, a honed Cobra intake, and a N61 cam. It made 344rwhp and 360rwtq through a T5. And here is a good example of a combination that you COULD run on the street but wouldn't want to everyday. It is a 306 with Twisted Wedge Stage 3 port job done to them, a Trickflow Track Heat stage 5 port work done to it, and a N91 camshaft. With this combination he should be shifting somewhere around 7,000rpms-7,400rpms. He runs 4.56 gears in the rear... He made 376rwhp and 335rwtq So to say that you can make 355-380rwhp through a set of untouched pos GT40 heads and intake on a 306 is just stupid and you should stop giving false hope to people. You have to spend money to go fast. If everyone could just go buy some GT40 heads and intake and slap them on and have 300-380rwhp don't you think that would be the only combination for a 302-306 you would see? Give me a damn break...
