Message: <blockquote data-quote="ttocs" data-source="post: 1061919" data-attributes="member: 11896">yea when I hear someone say that they checked fuses I assume the worst(which is more common in this case) that they took out their manual.  found the page the fuse schematic is on.  Then sat and read till they found a fuse that they thought would be related and then went and checked it.  CHECKED ALL THE FUSES - no sorry there is more then one for the audio system especially with the mach.  Until they tell me that they have pulled and checked every fuse in the car(total of 3 mins which is still 10 mins faster then getting the manual and checking the one) I am not ready to say that the amp has power.just like he said all the wiring is good.....  As an installer I can tell you a story of a customer that told me that while asking me to check out why his amp would not power up.  While we were on the way out to the car he was telling me I/we should hire him because he does all his friends stereos.  I went out to the parking lot to find he not only did not put in the fuse in the fuse holder but had also grounded the amp to a plastic panel, with a plastic screw.   He earned the nick-name band-aids when we pulled his deck to find that he used band-aids to insulate all his connections - he was pretty proud he used the good cloth kind though......So you ask why I assume the least out of what people tell me?  It saves me time and more often then not, is not far off.   They just really don't know better most of the time.</blockquote>
