Well.. I sent the video that I showed you guys to HiTech, to see if they could figure out what the sound sounds like.. Good news! Its not PTV. However..sounds like it entails to something with the timing..(tensioners, guides..etc..) I used new(er) chains, new guides, new tensioners..there was one part of the guides (Shaped like a cresent moon?) that didnt come with the guide kit I bought..so I reused my old ones (i didnt have any noise from it anyway..). I dont even know what could be wrong..whether something is loose, or whatever..but I have a problem. I have no more money. I'm broke. I live on my own, a college student..and this is my daily driver..I've been bumming my dads old ranger off him for the past two months, and he has to have it back Saturday. Im not even sure I should tell him whats going on with my car. (hes pretty stingy..idk.) Going into this I just never expected it to be this terrible and long drawn out. I wish I would have thought it through, and had another car I could be driving daily. If that were the case I wouldnt be so worried about it.. So. I have a few options..I can go talk to my bank, try to get a loan increase, or another loan on my current one I have (only 1000 left to pay..) and take it to a dealership or mechanic..have them fix it. (I dont have the garage space, or tools, or time to do this myself. . .Already did it once, cant take it back to where I did it originally). Or I go talk to the bank, get a loan, find a 1000 dollar car..and just sell my mustang..or part it out..or get a really big loan, a beater, and get my mustang fixed. Regardless, I dont really know what to do. I wish I had more money. Dont we all? Any ideas out there? I know the timing issue isn't too terrible..but that requires the front cover off, and thats just not happening. PS. I also havent ran the car since I went back and torqued the cam caps back down with an in/lb wrench to 85-90 in lbs. But from what the guys at hitech said, that wouldnt make a difference. I'll try to get it all buttoned up..start it, get a stethoscope(sp) and pinpoint the noise.. Also having a 4.6 "guru" from hitech calling me tomorrow after he watches the video. Thanks everyone for the help youve all provided..Give me some advice here. :sad5:
