OK, first off i have a 1996 mustang GT. it has flowmasters on it when i bought it, dont know what kind though. The car always idles at 1,000 rpms which is a lilbit high but no big deal right? somthing id still like to fix though. now today, i took off the mufflers cause i wanted to fix some issues with them since i already had the car jacked up to fix the universal joint on the drive shaft which was by the way screwed up and im lucky they didnt snap. i post pictures later,it was realy screwed. so after my mufflers are off i turn my car on to see what it sounds like and the friggen thing was idling at 2,000 rpms!. i reved it up a couple times (which sounded awsome) and it settled on idling at 1,800 rpms. WTF, that shouldnt be that high and why did taking off the mufflers do that. What do you do to control the idle? there's supposed to be a screw or somthing on the throttle body or cable but thats not there so i dont know how to adjust the idle. help please.
