I ran the car last friday at the track by me. I unloaded the truck of the subs and spare and all small stuff and with a 1/4 tank of gas the car ran 15.1 @ 100.01mph. Traction was nothing, I brought the rpms up to about 1300 and eased into it pretty quick and the minute I hit half throttle the tires broke loss. I got them to grab playing with the throttle then it went into 2nd and went sideways....lol I at the time came completely out of the throttle. I then proceeded to go back to the pits and reload the trunk with everything even a body for weight....j/k I then drove the same way and traction off the line was decent, i felt it start to slightly break loose then it went into second and I was ahead of th shift this time and came all the way to a little less than half throttle and then it hooked in second and I laid into it. When shifting into 3rd gear it actually chirped pretty hard, which it never does and I proceeded to run a 14.3 @101.4mph....lol I hung it up because obviously traction was not coming from my street tires no matter how i drove it. The cars best was with the stock NPI motor, 4.10s, o/r x-pipe, Diablo Prog. w/ box tune and BBk cold air intake.....back then the car ran 14.1 @98.7mph w/ a 2.0 60ft. Fridays 60fts were 2.2-2.4 because i couldn't get full throttle in 1st or even off the line with out losing traction....lol It was an adventures night and funny at the same time, I think with a good set of tires I can really shave off sometimes, because when i got traction halfway through 2nd and all the way through 3rd it pulled hard throughout the entire RPM range until I let off. Also my gearing is perfect I blew through the traps right at 5800rpms in 3rd gear.
