Once you've done headers, it gets easier. Trust me, I know. I've done three sets of modular headers on a SN95. I've gone from a 4R70W to T45 to TR3550, and I've gone from a NPI to an Explorer PI. I've done everything to my car myself except the 3:73 gears, and Ford screwed them up and had it slinging gear oil out of the pinion seal. But I got the FRPP shorties back when they first came out as soon as Steeda had them. No other long or short tube headers were out at the time. First time was a big PITA and learning experience. I tried to get them on with the motor jacked up a little, and I did, but it took forever. A little while later, the bolts started getting loose. I replaced two sets of header gaskets and a few passengers’ side collector gaskets before for I got sick of it and bought a full MAC setup. So to do the Mac LT's, I dropped the K member. I also used stage 8 locking header bolts and never had a problem with blowing gaskets and exhaust leaks again. Dropping the K member really made it easy for me. So when I blew my NPI, I went to pull the motor and the collectors hit the floor of the car and right where they turn hit the K member. So I had to drop the K member again to get the motor out. It pissed me off so bad that I decided to go back to shorty headers So now I have BBK shorty headers, can pull my motor easier, and can reuse my stock cat'd H pipe to pass emiss with. (3) Header swaps, (1) engine swap, (3) trans swaps, dropped axel to swap catbacks, dropped fuel tank for 190lph pump, so I've had my car apart so many times in so many pieces I actually trust it more now.
