[QUOTE="Mustanger, post: 940787, member: 8886"] Wow! I HAVE used my ABS twice in my F150 & I would never voluntarily delete it! I defy you "expert old school drivers" to avoid the imminent crashes I was heading for without ABS! (Two wheels on a steep sloped gravel shoulder, two wheels on dry pavement heading for a gully/culvert) a semi forced me off the freeway...even if you COULD have controlled the disparity in traction side to side it would NEVER have stopped in as short a distance as the full force braking ABS allowed me to do!! Pumping the brakes IF you can remember to do it produces MUCH longer braking distances... just a fact! So add 100+++ extra HP to your car & simultaneously increase your EMERGENCY stopping distances is definitely the wrong way to go!! Doesn't make any sense whatsoever!! Yes you can possibly go a lifetime & never need ABS but don't make it mandatory to not have the choice! Listen to TTOCS! I have witnessed & test rode the first prototype BMW motorcycle with ABS enabled & disabled on a wet skidpad it was day & night difference...one you HIT the hay bale ...the other you stopped 12 feet short of it.
