Message: <blockquote data-quote="TxCobrA98" data-source="post: 297999" data-attributes="member: 8384">haha i like the direction we are going with this. and lol im not emo you douchebags. the collar on my jacket came popped, not my doing. i dont pop my collars lol. nor do i wear ralph lauren or polo. :buck2:I never said the motor in my current car was ok. my dad will still get it rebuilt, its just not going to blow up right now and its not a top priority for him ATM since we found a motor for me. ive been driving it this way over a year because i can't afford a rebuild. i stay on top of it and keep the oil in it. it makes 260hp and 261lbtq, im barely under power, the AF is just out of whack, and its running rich, not lean. i understand it has probably washed out the rings and w/e but its running fine. idles perfectly, operates fine, if you cant understand that, i dont know how to help you. yes it consumes oil, but i keep the oil in there and my car hasn't shown signs of it deteriorating or about to quit on me. and my dad isn't getting a bad deal or a "sh***y" deal either. he is getting a cobra that looks pretty dang clean (besides like 4 areas on the body that are messed up and pretty unnoticeable at that). and the cobra is costing him basically 1300 dollars........ how is that "sh***y"? because im taking the good motor? my dad asked if i wanted it or not, i said i will leave it up to you, your buying it.. so he said hes kidding, he will let me have it. i know my own dad, im not trying to just take his money and split.my dad was never looking to buy a cobra seriously until a few more months. i was getting my motor rebuilt in the next 2 months depending when our house sold. now instead of spending $3500 - $4500, we are getting a cobra + fully built engine + mods for the car itself + mods done to the engine that i wasn't going to get for 5800 dollars. my rebuild looked like it was going to end up being 4500 to rebuild my current engine because i was going to do some head work and a few other things.how is that a bad deal? my dad could:A) spend 4500 dollars, have my motor rebuilt then later on buy a $10k - $15k cobra that is basically stockB) spend 5800 dollars, have a 2nd cobra for him, a motor that DOESN'T RUN BAD, just not what it should and can be fixed, and get a fully built motor all for 1300 more dollars?and when he is ready to rebuild the engine in my car, he can do it and have a killer cobra, and for less than what he would have payed for another cobra. makes perfect sense to me.......</blockquote>
