Message: <blockquote data-quote="Lanter" data-source="post: 1426599" data-attributes="member: 20552">Is the BOV open during idle?  Also what AFRs do you run when you give the car a little throttle.  If it hovers around 15 all the time even with some load be careful on how much boost you try to run, that's on the lean side.If you have a blow throw MAF setup and the BOV is plumbed before the MAF you may want a slightly stiffer spring if it is open at idle.  There is a lot of argument on the topic but the BOV on a turbo car can, and some say should, be closed at idle.  Doesn't have to be though as long as it closes with throttle input, so if you free rev the engine the BOV should slam shut.May sound dumb but are you completely sure all your intercooler pipes are snug?  On my dyno day after the first boosted pull we blew off my pipe that goes to the throttle body but didn't notice.  My car's IAC hose is an AN line so it held the pipe against the throttle where just glancing at it everything looked fine but when we went into boost the turbo was only building 1-2 psi as all the boost was leaking out the  the gap in the charge pipe boot to throttle body.  After we fixed that the turbo build boost just fine.  Also do you hear the turbo when you try to build boost, does is sound like its spooling up?</blockquote>
