The factory amps then take that signal and then amplify it adding a whole bunch of factory amp noise as they are just barely good enough. The problem is that every amp adds noise. So when the first amp adds its noise, and then gets amplified again you are amplifying the first amps noise which means that it starts to distort much much sooner then your aftermarket amp that is going straight from the rca's. To compensate for this the only thing to really do is to tune the gain down on the aftermarket amp, which means you are not getting full use out of it. That hrns is a waste of money because you could have hit the standard ford speaker hrns(70-1770 for fdo2b) that is right next to teh radio for $10 rather then $40 and got much much better sound. I show how to do this on page 2 of my cardomain page. I promise you that you will get better sound if you bypass the factory amps, hit that hrns and then turn up the gain on your amp.
