Tew was right by the way it is a new radar detector and from what I can read the best out right now, the passport escort 9500ci. So those of you that were curious enough to check the price, I didn't pay that its one of the benifits of working in the 12v industry for a little while - you get to know other techno-geeks that tend to sell their stuff long before its old. And now for those that are wondering what that price tag buys you, well for one thing. It features front/rear laser shifters so that when a laser speed gun is pointed at it, it will read an error as well as alarm me. I got the front laser/radar reciever and the dual laser shifters installed over the weekend. They were really well designed and could not be easier to install. I am hoping to work on the rear section tonight/tomorrow and get pics of all the stuff on the outside.
