I went to the museum last Sunday with my dad. Pretty weird to see my own car up there. Also weird that I wasn't allowed to come close to, or touch, my own car. Also, it seems they will extend the exhibition until beginning next year. It does mean I have to miss my car a while longer, on the other hand it's parked safely... Some pics... Some other pics from the museum: The earliest Fords... Of the first FORD-car, only two were made. One was lost, one is in Ford's Museum in Detroit. In the Netherlands is the only full-size replica in the world. The A-model Ford is truely unique: even Ford itself does not own this model. They have offered several times to buy it, but they don't want to sell. It's the one on the right. When the museum opened in 2000, they sent some pictures to Ford Headquarters. They replied "congratulations on your nice collection of model cars". They couldn't believe they were real cars. Ford people had to fly over and see for themselves before they could believe it. They were quite offended the museum was bigger than the one in Detroit, and that the largest collection of Ford vehicles was in the Netherlands (they have a Guinness Book of Records-record and all). Also a one-of-a-kind original Ford: The blue one always stands out...
