Paid $49 for a Android phone and pay $35/month for unlimited text/data and 300 minutes. When the Wife's contract is over in a couple of months I'm buying her a Virgin Mobile iPhone with the same plan as my girls have. Verizon monthly prices are ridiculous! They get you with the free/cheap phone, but then they rip you off for 2 years, every month.I have a Droid RAZR, I haven't done Tapatalk, I'll have to try it out. But essential apps are Google Maps/Navigation with traffic(awesome! but IIRC not for the iPhone), skype, a level (I use it to check/do my alignment), Trackmaster, accelerometer Dyno, Mobile Hotspot (you may need to pay for this), Fecebook widget, data useage widget, Quickoffice, Ultrachron (stopwatch), and Netflix. I'm not much of a gamer, but have Angrybirds and Cut the Rope.Then obviously setup email, I also got a notification app so I can seperate my ring/alert tones for different texts. This was mainly for a work pager.Now Ron, you have a 4 right. So it's not 4g capable. That's the biggest reason I didn't go iPhone. The 4g is awesome when you can have a hotspot for your laptop, be talking on the phone, and still have lightning fast internet.</blockquote>
