Well boys, Beech Bend opens march 6th. So that means i gotta get my car ready for another drag season. I just ordered a meth injection kit from http://alkycontrol.com/. Julio is a great guy and knows his stuff. His kits on the grand nationals have run 9s! Its been decided that im gonna run a 100% meth into the chambers. I came to this decision for a couple of reasons. 1. Having a fmic and running a 50/50 mix i might run into problems with the mixture not flashing properly. With out the proper flash (or atomization) then the distribution wont be there. Running more timing and less fuel and not having proper distribution will run into problems. 2. Im really only using the meth for an octane boost, and only need the boost of oct in the upper boosted rpms. So this will eliminate me having to run race gas, which can get really expensive running on the street. 3. No need to play lab scientist to get mixtures right everytime. And tuning for a 100% spray is much easier than a water added mixture. And although i could run washer fluid, most washer fluids have detergents in them and is not ideal for alky kits, and motor combustion. So with the addition of the alky kit, and a bigger tb/sheetmetal intake im sure that i will be able to put down some good numbers. With the meth kit i will be able to up my timing to 20-23*, right now im running a very conservative 12*. So the advancement of timing should yield quite a bit of hp. I have also purchased a 2-step from N2MB Racing, i have talked to several people that use this and praise it. I would really like to get the 1/4mile times down a bit more b4 i know i have to go w a bigger turbo. :occasion14:
