So there is really no benefit in swapping to a Marauder TC unless you are wanting the extra reliability they have. This is due to the better Torrington bearings and design with the furnace brazed fins and the replacement of the plastic thrust washer for a real thrust bearing. Also stall is dependent on the amount of torque your engine puts out. The stock 11.25 will stall at 2400 in a stock GT. Using the formula for K factor and taking that same TC and putting it in another GT that is making 150 more ft tq and it will stall at its 2800 - 3000 rpm. I know at some point you will reach the limit of the TC. I wouldn't bet on it ever reaching 3000 rpms without some sort of failure.

[QUOTE="SnakedMark8, post: 291329, member: 10115"] No, the GTs all stayed with the 4R70W. The best stock TC is the one from an 04 Marauder/Mach 1. The 03 would be the next choice. All other factory 11.25 inch TCs were the same whether they were in a Mustang GT, Crown Vic PI and Sports or Mark 8s. The Mark 8 was the first one to ever receive this TC in 93. 96 was the first year for the Mustang GT. 98 was the first year for the CVs.
