If you lose a quart a month to a month and a half that is not so significant on a car with that many miles. It can be getting burned, slipping past the piston rings, at such a slow rate that you don't notice any blue smoke. It IS normal for an engine to use some oil, that is why you are supposed to check it every so often.If you are losing more oil than that leaking on the ground would be quite obvious, so it's not that. You might want to check your coolant to see if there is any oil there to cover all bases.Steve</blockquote>
