When buying this '98 GT manual, I knew it wasn't going to be perfect. Hell, the body looks like someone parked it in a driving range. The more I tear in to this car, the more absurdity I find. Here's a short list of things I found post purchase after the seller claimed it was "Bone stock" (pic below was the day I brought it home) -Cobra bumper that was rattlecanned AFTER installation; overspray on the headlights, underhood trim, and tires -Cheap rep wheels on 3" spacer/adapters with bubbling tires -aftermarket x-pipe hung with whatever hangars and clamps they could find at Autozone -steeda tri-ax shifter installed without RTV or a gasket; 2 bolts were backed out by hand -3 different brand spark plugs used; 1 being copper while the rest are OEM platinum And the newest addition to the list: bad rear calipers Surprise surprise, looks like these got rattle canned as well! Pads had no hardware clips and no lubrication grease whatsoever. This one had a ripped boot and a seized piston. Apparently I was braking on three corners only. Odd, because I never felt the car pull. Pads were shockingly in great shape. New hats and hardware put on. Note the red parking brake cable and springs on the pads...jayzus Current state of the car, still a long way to go (headlights are next I promise)
