Been reading through some old posts trying to plan the day's events in an attempt to resolve some issues. Thought I might see if anyone had anymore suggestions or recommendations. Here's the situation, I have a high mileage '94 gt that is basically stock (K&N, Headers, TB). From what I can tell I have three issues that I'm trying to fix, it's possible that they're all related, but I'm really not great at trouble shooting so? First on fairly rare occasions, probably once or twice a week, the car is pretty hard to start. Typically it starts on the first or second try. I can hear the fuel pump kick in when I turn the key, but I am still running the factory pump? The second issues is a slight shudder at lower rpm's, doesn't seem to always be there, more on hot days after the car's been warmed up. I just recently replaced the dist cap and rotor along with plugs and wires and a new coil and checked the compression. The third issue is well for a lack of a better description the car will seem to "hiccup" while running down the interstate. It might only happen once or twice on my commute to work, but seems to happen more in the evenings and almost always will do this in the same place on my drive home. On Wednesday shortly after the expected "hiccup" the car actually shut off. I drifted to a stop waited a few moments and cranked the ignition a few times and it started up and ran like a top the rest of the way home? So I plan on having the codes read at Advance replacing the O2 sensors and cleaning the MAF and PCV today as all of these have never been replaced and or cleaned. I might even replace the distributor as well as it's the factory piece also, or is it possible to just replace some of the components on the distributor? Anybody have any recommendations as to the mfg of the O2 sensors or dist? Also if there are any further recommendations as to other items to try I'm more than willing to listen, she's my daily driver and I would love to get these items resolved...
