I had to do it on my truck for the remote start but the alarm makes sure that the car is not in gear before starting it.My only concern with your definition is that it tells you to get power from the cig lighter to driver the starter. The starter is a high current device that takes alot of amperage to turn, and because of this the wires driving it are a minimum 12 awg. You could get it to work for a while by just tapping the cig lighter for power but I think you are going to blow fuses or melt wires after prolonged use.</blockquote>
