I?m going to be installing the FRPP Cobra rear brake kit I bought from AM last winter. Of course, this requires removing the axles to install the new mounting brackets. Since I was going to have the pumpkin open anyway I was thinking about upgrading the gears to 3.73s. My question is: There are 2 install kits on AMs site. One is a Motive: http://www.americanmuscle.com/rearendrebuild.html and the other is Ford Racing: http://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-88-pinion-kit-8604.html. The FRPP kit appears to have different bearings and more components, but no diff cover gasket. My GT has 62k miles on it and hasn?t been ?beat on?. If I do swap out my gears I will be using a recommended shop here in town do the work. I know the FRPP kit is only $25 more, but if I don?t need it then I can use that money toward gear lube. If I do swap out the gears, I will have the shop swap the rear brakes too. Thanks in advance Bob
