My bet is the bushings are gone causing slipping. Pull the motor then take the cover off the side with the metal gear and post some pics.I’ve replaced regulators on these cars before, it’s not fun. And I don’t know if it was only certain years but the windows were glued to the regulators on my old 00 gt when I replaced them. I used some adhesive that was recommended only for them to come unglued weeks later.</blockquote>
