I've decided to shake it down at a local autoX venue, which took place in Long Beach Harbor, if you can believe that. I've entered a very competitive CAM-T class, and expectations were pretty low, as I haven't driven the car in forever, and tires were very heat-cycled and just rock hard. Not surprisingly, I finished near the end of the field, but there were some upsides to the day, primarily that the car was reliable (right up until last run when ABS failed), and it was very easy to drive, even when I would intentionally toss it into a corner, forcing it to rotate. Now I've got a couple of things that need to be addressed, such as ABS not working and relocating the steering fluid reservoir so it can have more fluid and not starve itself under fast transitions.
