Message: <blockquote data-quote="heehaw80" data-source="post: 1226533" data-attributes="member: 18950"><p>when I first start the car its nice and quiet, after a minute or two idling the serpentine belt will start to squeak soon as I touch the gas or pull out it goes away till I let the car idle again the belt is only a year old and all the pulleys are clean and run square not bent up the tensioner pulley is not worn, smog is gone and a/c is gone went with a shorter belt a year ago the water pump is about six months old and the alternator is about two months old, the squeak only started about a week ago if I take a bar of soap and touch it to the outside of the belt (radiator side) with engine idling the squeak goes away for about a miles worth of driving then is back</p></blockquote><p></p>
