I've been reading for about 7 and a half hours, conculted with some DSM expert's, and have come to the conclusion that the ECM is fine, unless he fried it himself. And ECM's are not married to the car, any 2g ECM should work, although they changed the firing order in 97. According to my research this points to a few thing's depending on it's behavior. Could be a couple relays under the dash, one for fuel, one for the ECU, 10 bucks at Radioshack.Could be as easy as the clutch interlock switch, unplug and it will work.Could be either the cam or crank sensorsloose/bad grounds.I've also learned that DSM guy's are hard headed and can't grasp the fact that those little car's are just transportation to some people (like me), not race car's :wall: :hammer:But, :TY: for the help guy's, definately got me on the right path here.</blockquote>
