I figured I would use it till I needed to clean it and had some extra cash and would see if there was a big difference between the one I had and a better one. I am waiting for my custom length plug wires to go on my wire loom and for the russel adaptors to upgrade my fuel lines to stainless braided and realized this was the time I could look closer at the filter.  I took the old one into autozone to comair it, ans was suprised when I saw the universal spectre filter that was actually in the chrome/bling isle rather then in the filter section. It looked to be the same lenght, but was a little wider and had the top portion cut out to allow more air as well. Looking at the two it was hard not to believe the larger spectre with the top would be less restrictive, and it was only $30 so I decided to try it. It will fit my piping, but I will need to open up the hole in the fender just a hair. It woud be covered by the polished piece infront of it and you would not see any difference so I don't really see a problem with loosing half an inch of metal in the fender wher it will not be seen to gain more air capability. Does this make sence to you guys and does anyone have any expereince with this brand good/bad?
