Message: <blockquote data-quote="95 svt cobra" data-source="post: 367610" data-attributes="member: 10189"><p>yeah if it was something electrical your needle wouldnt necessarilly bounce. i went through this problem twice, the first time the needle bounced for a while then stopped. the plastic gear on the sensor that goes into the tranny was bad, the teeth sheered off, once one of those teeth comes off, it puts stress on the next tooth cause the tranny gear slams onto it instead of it being inline. The second time my speedo just stopped altogether without bouncing and it turned out my sensor was bad. so its a easy fix and im willing to bet tahts all it it. the chances of your speedo being bad or the wiring is slim, esp. if youve never taked your instrument cluster out. good luck</p></blockquote><p></p>
