Message: <blockquote data-quote="mcglsr2" data-source="post: 1351684" data-attributes="member: 15705"><p>For a battery to be bad and still read over 12V means that the vast majority of it's cells are bad - in other words, it has the voltage but no amps, as in cold cranking amps.  Stock rated batteries are like over 500 CCA, so even if the battery had a couple bad cells (which means it still needs to be replaced) it still might start the car. For it to give only 1 click and nothing means it has pretty much all dead cells.  It would need to be load tested as mentioned by Royal96.</p></blockquote><p></p>
