After setting the lash, push the rocker down towards the pushrod, the lifters shouldn't budge. If they do he may have a bad lifter somewhere. What I would reccomend, is back out the allen key set screw more. Adjust to zero lash, tighten the nut an extra 1/2 turn, then screw in the set screw. The way you described kinda sounds like you may not be getting a full 1/4 or 1/2 turn. They should be able to take 3/4 of a turn but not require it. If the lifters are going south, the extra 3/4 of a turn will make then collapse and bottom out sooner and probably more noisy.</p></blockquote><p></p>
