Once the mod motor made it into the cars, the k-member was made stiffer, so that on it's own kinda helped with the issue. This meant that Ford could take the part off, and save some money, which they did.</p><p></p><p>On performance minded cars, it's supposed to keep the front end stiffer, so suspension can work better.</p></blockquote><p></p>
