Ok well heres the whole story so far. One of the grommets that go down into my valve cover that the bolts go through went bad apparently and oil started to puddle up around it. Well I order new valve cover gaskets, because thats the only way to get them through any parts stores, well they get here and I get my passenger side valve cover off, the one where the grommet was leaking. Well I drop one of the grommets and can't find it, well I said oh well ill find it later and went on my business. I started to take off the driver side valve cover gasket and didnt know that the entire intake has to come off, or its VERY hard to get that valve cover out. Well we just gave up and decided to put that valve cover on and just replace all the grommets. Well in the process of doing that , we dropped another grommet. Well I had to order the grommets from ford and it took two days. Well we get the new ones in and everything back together. We go to start the car and it makes this awful, insane, loud clanking noise when we started it, and we ran it for maybe 10 seconds then shut it off. After 2 hours of trying to find the noise we are under the car and right where the oil pan and transmission meet we find the source of the noise. Well one of the grommets fell into the bell housing of the transmission from the top of the motor somehow and was hitting the flywheel. We get that out and then we see a massive oil leak on the driver side. Well after getting that valve cover gasket off, FINALLY, we see that we cracked it when we tried getting it off the first time.....damn plastic valve covers...well now we are trying to find another valve cover before my dyno day this saturday. UGH.
