Message: <blockquote data-quote="95PGTTech" data-source="post: 706502" data-attributes="member: 9525">keep in mind that convertible chassis and coupe chassis all start on the same assembly line as the same chassis. it's simply a matter of getting a coupe donor, drilling out the spot welds deep behind the rear quarter panels, and welding onto your vert. there is a lot of stuff under the soft top related to its function that will need to be switched, rear seat, interior panels, etc. but it is possible.check out my build thread for an insight into just how much work is involved to accurately swap a very simple panel like the front radiator support - stock for stock. if you own a welder, a torch, and a grinder, a lot of things are possible that 99% of people will say cannot be done. that doesn't mean it's worth the time or effort, though. generally, people who are capable of heavy fabrication such as this don't ask questions like this in threads, they post threads like "look, swapped my vert to a coupe!" no offense.</blockquote>
