I was on my way home from work this morning when i made a right turn, put the car into first, went to shift into second and right before i reached for the shifter to shift, the car made a loud pop, and lunged forward. i went to grab the shifter to shift into 2nd, and the damn thing was stuck, so i stayed on the clutch and coasted into the grocery store parking lot... i was able to slam it into nuetral, and then had to limp home in 2nd and 3rd gear, there were a few times it would stick into 3rd and i had to use both hands to yank it out... I pulled into my driveway, put it in reverse to back it in just in case i gotta tow it somewhere, and when i put it in reverse it popped again, and lunged backwards, then i parked and it wouldn't come out of reverse, and the car died, so i took off the boot and that plastic around it so i could see the shift and tranny tail, turned the car on, had to slam it a few times to get it in 1st, and as soon as it hit 1st it lunged forward and died. like i started the car in first and let off before pushing the gas... i dont' know what it is... somebody help! i think it's the tranny that took a shit on me. I've got some money, so if you guys think thats what it is, then i guess i'll buy a new one. somebody help me! PLEASE!</p></blockquote><p></p>
