The only time he used it was at angles like flanges and whatnot. We tested the weld without the rod beforehand by welding a 2 1/4" pipe, then crushed it in the vice and took a hammer to the top of the pipe to see if it would break at the weld, but it melted together perfectly.And I agree with the dirty part. I am thinking it is because the pipe we used to weld onto the flange was a piece we cut off an 05+ factory exhaust...the bends were Perfect! LOL Although the pipe off the exhaust is definitely ss, my b/f is thinking it is just a cheaper made stainless.</blockquote>
