So the deal he offered is like this.He will buy my broken tranny for $250 so I have to pay 500 for the tranny and service charges. I had a talk with him last night and he reduced price to about $375. I already bought a replacement clutch which will be going in this new (used) tranny. Is this a good deal or I should attempt to fix it? The guy said fixing it would not guarantee a long lasting solution.</blockquote>
