There is a bolt, 11mm wrench or socket fits it, you remove the retainer bolt, the entire assembly comes out. You just broke it in two. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. bottom part is metal and has a retainer with the bolt in it, top part is plastic and the speedo cable pushes into it and the wires plug into it. They are not designed to come apart, if they do, it's time to go visit Advance auto and get a new one.</blockquote>Nothing came apart when I pulled what-ever part out the transmission. I just plugged it back in the socket and bolted it back in place. That was only the 1 bolt thing I saw on the drivers side of the trasmission unless missed the other.[/QUOTE]
