I put over 100 miles on it yesterday. i replaced the coil yesterday morning. it ran great. no check engine lights it flew all was good.this morning i took my son to school,less than a mile away. coming back it did the shutting down thing,missfire and it runs like crap again. when i got back here i pulled off the distributor cap.the rotor end was black. as if it burned. is it possible that the distributor is eating coils somehow? i didn't think that they could do that.doesn't the spark go through it? I didn't think that they would produce it.I have ford racing 9mm wires on it. the cap is msd.the coil was changed yesterday with a known good one.she has been eating coils since last fall. it was put away all winter so it was no big deal. now it is getting to be a problem. any thoughts?I'll change the cap today see if it is the msd cap.i have a few ford caps here.</p></blockquote><p></p>
