It's function is to provide temperature info to the PCM for fuel management functions such as extra fuel for cold start, idle, etc. The low coolant sensor is in the overflow bottle and is for that function only. The dash gauge temperature sending unit is on the driver's side just below the distributor. It only supplies a signal to the gauge unit.</p></blockquote><p></p>
