They warm up your block by replacing either one of the freeze plugs or in its own little "housing" I would like one keeps it at a constant temp for the cooler mornings OR at the track you can just start it up run it for a shorter amount of time and then you have an ideal temp no more rest runs and that BS you know you drive 300ft and your at x deg already. Kinda handy.
