Uhhhhh, I dont see anything amazing about running a 12.97 with a fox coupe and those mods you listed :dunno: :dunno: That quarter mile time would equal around a 8.30 in the eighth mile, my 91 GT ( heavier than a coupe by at LEAST 100 POUNDS) had Longtubes/ catless mid pipe / dynomax catback / 373 gears / and a hurst shifter running on BFG Drag radials with me in the car ( 225lbs ) ran 8.60s all day long BONE STOCK SUSPENSION. With 410's and slicks Id bet my life to a dollar that I could have broke a 8.49 with it. Now take off the fact that my GT is heavier than a coupe ( 100lbs or more ) you can cut a full tenth off that and your looking at a 8.39 Im not saying that the coupe run is not impressive, fact is there is not a basket full of near stock cars doing those kinds of times, but under the right weather conditions / track prep / and a good driver......its NOT ROCKET SCIENCE to try to figure out how its done. My car is not the only one thats done it, there is a guy here that had a 87GT with exhaust / 373s / Slicks / and some weight reduction and ran 8.5x's on a regular basis. I hope shortly that our member " 93StockNotch" will have some times in his coupe soon,....., full exhaust / 373's / and a Coldair kit, his car can-might be another addition to what im saying a stock motor car with just piddly boltons running LOW 13s without much effort at all. CAN do 12s with some serious concentration. oh and the major pitfall for the 96-98 2valve cars to break 12s cheaply is a two part deal I think......the fact that they are heavy and LACK low end tq keeps them from getting up and on their way and kills ET potential
