My 410w swap
So, I was asked to start a thread that highlights the parts used in my 351w swap. This is by no means a "how-to" thread, just what I did. Comments are welcomed but please leave them in my build thread:
1) 351w SVO block
2) Edelbrock Performer RPM 5.8 lower intake (advertised as a truck part, not a Mustang part)
I went with Aeromotive fuel rails and an external fuel pressure regulator but you can extend the crossover and reuse your stock fuel rails
3) '95 Lightning distributor (remote TFI, roller cam)
4) BBK 351w swap shorty headers
5) Canton 351w swap oil pan (street/strip)
6) Eagle/SRP forged rotating assembly, internal balance, zero balance balancer/flywheel
The short block came out looking like this:
I went with a Trick Flow stage 3 cam, Comp Cams link-bar lifters/pushrods and ProComp 210 heads with EPW 1.6 roller rockers. (Hind sight being 20/20 and how long this has taken, I should've waited longer and went with a better HCI. If you can, wait and save more money now, it will lead to less regret later.) I used a Mellings oil pump, ARP pump shaft and Fel-Pro gaskets throughout.
