In other news, Reed (my friend that welded up the cat delete) wants to build me a custom y-pipe. He has a set of stock manifolds laying around and tossed the idea out about replacing the anemic outlets with 3” v-bands. This will allow for the y-pipe to continuously be 3” instead of the 2.25” to 2.75” to 3” bastard I have now. I’m planning for long tubes eventually but hey, free science experiment in the name of finding more power? Why the hell not… Worked for other vehicles in the past, why not my truck :)

Speaking of exhaust, we are going to fabricate a pipe to attach to the v-band at the resonator that exits in front of the rear tire, with a nice tip, when in shenanigans-mode.

Beyond that, at @96blak54 insistence, I’m considering swapping the water pump pulley out for a light weight version from a Factory Stock Coyote to save some rotational mass.

All of this is being hampered by the stock 31.6” tires but that can wait.

Free flowing exhaust is proven to help so taking out the restriction can’t hurt . I’m super impressed with how quick you’ve got this little pickup going already .

I can. The idea was to get one so that I could blueprint it and make a few. That was back when I had a bunch of work to get done in my shop and really couldnt focus on the project. Im free and clear now. And I just got the text back from my coyote buddy that I can borrow the pulley to copy. Ill be grabbing it later.

Excellent. Let me know what you need from me and I’ll take a couple.

A new project! Picked up a Lariat grille with the intent to trade my buddy for his XLT Sport grille, which is basically a smooth, dark argent colored version of mine. Now that I have it in hand, I’m thinking of just keeping it.

I’m torn. What do you think? Here’s a few pics of both paint matched.
