i'm ordering a new oem headlight knob and want to clear coat it while it's fresh

should i clean it with anything before spraying the adhesion promoter? what would not pull any of the printed logo off if so?

matt finish auto clear?? thanks guys

clean with rubbing alcohol and it'll be fine..i'd scuff it but you don't want to lose the print so adhesion promoter will last a while

I doubt it. but try in on the old knob to verify.
I have thought about doing this same thing to the turn signal arm as well.

ah yes, i will be getting a new turn signal stalk as well and am going to try the same with it. my light knob has nooo writing left on it and the turn signal stalk print seams so soft from hear and age i think anything would smear it so probably not a good reference off mine

would automotive clear or plastic clear be better?

after my 2nd OEM knob cracked I replaced it with a billet one, painted then cleared it so it would last forever
