A friend want to decode his doortag, I have the Ford book for 1994, but it's not the sames codes in 1997 :
For the serial number it's :
1FALP42X6VF143104
1FA = Ford Motor Co.
L = air bag and active belts
P = Passenger Car
42 = 2 doors hatchback GT
X = 4.6 L V8 215 H.P.
6 = check digit
V = Years 1997
F = Dearborn
143104 = sequential number
For the door tag it's not so easy, I found that UA is for the the color of the paint (black), but for the rest I dint have any information.
Maybe someone can help ?
