Coming from the Jeep community (as far as customizing goes), I've had my head wrapped around wheel backspacing. Its easier for me to relate to. Offset was always something that imports used and it messes with my head. If you have a 8" wheel with 4" bs, then that would double as a 0-offset.... I get that.

Has anyone done an actual conversion of offset/backspace on the variety of OEM wheels? I can't seem to find one. Several websites don't even list either measurement for reference on the OEM wheels, either.

I know AM used to show their offset specs on their aftermarket wheels, not sure if they still do. It varied there from +22 to +28 depending on what wheel you got, if I recall correctly. FWIW.

This was the backspacing on a set of 03 Cobra wheels I had laying around.

If you have either the offset or the backspacing, you can calculate the other if you know the rim width.

STandard SN95 17x8 wheel is a +30 offset which is 5.72" BS. The 17x9 OEM wheels (Cobra R, 0304 cobra, 10th anniversary) are +27 offset

You can use a calculator like this
