Sway Bar End Link Issues!

Hey guys,

Installed coilovers, sway bar, and tubular lower control arms on my 1995 gt. Lowered the car a little bit (~2"-2.5") Now I am having issues with my sway bar end links. The poly bushings are splitting and literally falling off the car. Has happened twice now.

I know you are supposed to get shorter end links to account for the drop but mine are just not lining up. I am still trying to use the longer endlinks because there is no way the shorter ones will reach. The endlinks cannot sit anywhere close to vertical with how the sway bar lines up with the lower control arm. I will try to post some pictures this weekend.

Anyone else had difficulties with this after lowering their ride? What length end links should I be using to correct the bumpsteer? Can someone post pictures of a similar suspension setup on an sn95?

Thanks as always.

Do you have a photos of the setup? The shorter endlinks do keep the swap bar more parallel which may help with preventing the bushings from getting eaten up as the bar pivots. I used Prothane endlinks as they were about 3/4" shorter. Endlinks don't really have any bearing on bumpsteer however. That's tie rod ends.

Are you sure you have the correct tubular a-arms? Some move the wheel forward or back, so they may also change the location of where the sway bar end links mount too.

I run the maximum motorsports endlinks. I did go as far to actually measure bumpsteer but it's a total PITA process.

Not an SN95 though. This is a fox, but this is my setup. Some slight differences but it's tubular arms, slightly shorter endlinks and the MM tie rod ends

To me it almost seems like the sway bar is not long enough. The end link will never be vertical no matter the length. The sway bar and control arm holes don't line up. I don't know, take a look and see what you think. Its an eibach sway bar and bmr control arms.

I see what you mean.

BMR only makes one set of arms I think? Almost looks like the sway bar is too long.

I’d reach out to BmR and see what they say.

I shot an email over to BMR tech support, I think I'll go ahead and get a sway bar relocation kit and try to measure what length end links will work best. Have been using the archived link below to try to figure out what I need.

I'll keep the thread updated when i figure something out.

BMR wasn't much help, they say it's normal to sit like they were.

Installed Maximum Motorsports relocation bracket earlier. End links sit much closer to vertical now. Still running stock length for now. They really don't need to be much shorter. Thanks for the recommendation. Hopefully my problem is solved.
